How to append a scan in Dot3D
Miss a spot? Need to add more detail? The Append feature has you covered.
Utilize the Append feature in Dot3D to continue a scan and add more data anytime after the initial capture. This can be very helpful for situations where you need to add in areas that were missed the first time, spend some more time to add details in certain spots, or otherwise any scenario you need to pause/continue a scan. With the Append feature at your disposal, almost every Dot3D project can be completed as a single scan file.
NOTE: Append is only available on unoptimized scans. This allows all your sessions to then be optimized into a single final result together. To find your unoptimized backup files, navigate to Documents/Dot3d/Autosave.
