Dot3D™ Tip of the Month: Utilize the parallel planes feature! Whenever pointing at a large flat surface (i.e. the floor) while scanning, simply tap the "paper airplane" icon to take advantage of this feature. Then as you flag more of the same (or another) parallel plane throughout your scan, they will be locked in as parallel to each other and auto-aligned during optimization. This feature should be used particularly frequently on residential interior scans.
