Dot3D 4.1: Update now available across all Dot3D platforms

Dot3D X: Professional-grade 3D documentation and measurement
Dot3D X is now available! This new product offering brings Pro-level 3D scanning at a powerfully low annual price point, but does not allow scan data export out of the Dot3D environment. The introduction of Dot3D X expands upon our ongoing efforts to make 3D data capture and measurement workflows more approachable, practical, and deployable at larger scales. Dot3D Lite: Replaces Dot3D Scan, features remain the same
4.1 also brings with it a new rebranding of Dot3D Scan to Dot3D Lite. All features and functionality remain the same, but the new name aims to better communicate the capabilites (and limitations) of Dot3D Lite. This remains an entry-level, low cost option with very limited scene size (20 million pts), limited exports (DP, PTS, PLY), and limited features (no advanced targeting, constraints, etc.). Dot3D Free: Now try Dot3D for free, for as long as you want!
Let the people scan! We realize that it often takes longer than an initial trial period to determine the best path forward with Dot3D, so we are now opening up scanning capabilites in all Dot3D installs, even after license expiration! While the free trial period has been shortened from 14 days to 7 days, you will no longer lose scanning ability upon expiration. Capture, optimize, crop, and visualize full size Dot3D scans free of charge with the new Dot3D Free. While you will still lose access to most features and all export options, scanning remains available for continued testing and proof of concept work. Click here for more info.

Monthly pricing options now available for all versions of Dot3D
You've spoken, and we've listened! Monthly pricing is now available for all versions of Dot3D. While annual (or longer) options are still clearly the more economical choice in most cases, we realize that 3D scanning work can often be project-based, where a monthly license may make more sense. Dot3D Tip of the Month: Keep your Dot3D up to date! To check your current version, please navigate to Settings>About. Here you'll see both your version number and the Check for Updates button. You should also see an Update button on top of the home screen / gallery view whenever you're due to update.
